TESTIMONIALS

Why players believe in me

"Sean Cromarty was the key to my development at a young age, propelling me to the next levels in hockey. He is extremely knowledgeable about the game in addition to all the things that go into making a good hockey player. Sean played a huge part in my off-ice training and nutrition protocols in order to maximize my performance on the ice."

"Sean Cromarty had the biggest impact on me as a player other my dad. I played for Cro’s EHL Rocket team as a underager when I was 17. Coming from Delbarton, I came in not prepared for the physical demands of Junior hockey, however, our strength training and on ice instruction had me more then ready for the season. I had an extremely productive first half of the year with Cro, in which he then moved me on to play in the USHL for the Lumberjacks. He turned me into a hard, skilled player and I am still in contact with Cro as one of my mentors and most trusted opinions on hockey. "

"Playing for Cro changed my mindset on hockey, how I viewed the game has never been the same. It wasn’t until a road trip early in my first season did Cro change my career. To put it nicely he talked some sense into me about eating that bacon mac and cheese from Cheeseboy. He saw something in me that no one else did and from that day forward hockey was my only priority. Cro taught me so many things on the ice that I still use to this day but the most important lessons were off the ice. I learned how to take care of my body and the real benefits of training every day, learned how to think outside the box to outsmart other teams, and most importantly how to find your potential and going all in to reach it. The years I spent with Cro changed the trajectory of my career, and I am excited that more players will get the chance to experience the opportunity I did."

“I’ve played under Coach Cromarty for two seasons, my 14U year and my EHL/18U year. Both years I saw my game evolve and consistently grow. Coach Cromarty has a diverse background in both hockey and strength training, which allows him to push his athletes both on and off the ice. My second year under Coach Cromarty is where my game grew the most. I took tremendous strides in my off-ice development, and even during the season I was managing to gain strength and put on muscle. Aside from his knowledge in strength training, Coach Cromarty is willing work with players on the ice just as much as he does off. I’m a rink rat, and Coach Cromarty matched my energy and was willing to stay on the ice with me and work with me for hours on end. He taught me many techniques and small skills I never had taught about, and those helped expand my skill set and become a more complete player. I have to thank Coach Cromarty for where I am today, because playing under him helped change my game tremendously. ”

I played under the coaching of Sean Cromarty for 3 years and those 3 years were undoubtedly the most influential time of my development as a hockey player, a man, and a leader. The impact that Coach Cromarty had on me will not only carry me through the remainder of my hockey career, but also will stay with me as I maneuver challenges in the military and life. As a 17-year-old player, I lacked the skills for which college coaches are recruiting. Coach Cromarty instilled in me a work ethic that opened the door for me to obtain the goal of playing division 1 hockey, and still to this day pushes me to reach my full potential. Along with this was a competitive edge that I feel is necessary to succeed in hockey and in life. I learned from him that life will always involve winning and losing, but you must hate losing as much as you enjoy winning, because that will push you to become the best version of yourself. Sean is a true student of the game, and he realized the kind of player I needed to be in order to advance to the next level. He developed me in a way that would best fit my game and for that, I am so grateful. In the current climate of sports, it is extremely rare to find a coach that can manage an entire team, while having a positive impact on an individual. Sean Cromarty is a coach that cares about his men and leads with character and fairness, and I am lucky to have played under him for those 3 years. As a Captain of the United States Air Force Academy Division 1 men’s hockey program, I will be commissioning as an officer in the world’s greatest military in a few short years, and much will be expected of me. I feel that I am prepared to succeed in this next chapter of my life in large part due to the lessons that I learned under Coach Sean Cromarty.
